Can I smoke in the car?

No. FNQ Car Rental does not permit its Customers to smoke in the rental vehicle and a cleaning fee will be charged to the debit or credit card on return of the vehicle.

John is returning his car to the depot

John stops at a petrol station about 20km from his rental depot and after filling the tank, he continues on to the depot. When he arrives, the car rental company representative informs him that the tank is not completely full and as a result, John will be charged an additional fee, because now a staff member will have to take the car to the petrol station to top the fuel tank up before it can be rented again.

Additional fees may include late return fees, additional driver fees, and charges for exceeding mileage limits. Details are provided in the rental agreement.

Yes, we offer after-hours drop-off. Please arrange this with us in advance to receive instructions on the process.

If the car is returned more than 30 minutes late from agreed time of return in your booking a full days rental is applied.


IMPORTANT: Remember that the period mentioned on the Rental Agreement you made when you picked up the car. So if you decide to return the car later than first planned, please drop into the rental station (or call) to amend the Rental Agreement. FNQ Car Rental charge a young driver surcharge of AUD 16.50 per day (excludes GST) applies to all Drivers aged between 21-24 years old. Drivers aged between 21-24 are restricted to vehicles Mini, Economy, Compact, Compact SUV, Compact Commercial Van, Intermediate, Intermediate pickup and Standard only. All drivers must have held their licence for a minimum of one year. If any driver is on a probationary licence there is an additional Probationary Licence Fee of AUD 25.00 per day (excludes GST).

PLEASE NOTE: For security purposes, the owner of the Credit Card entered on the payment step when making a reservation must be present to collect the vehicle and is required to sign the Rental Agreement. If this is not possible, please contact the rental location to discuss options.
